The document that opens is a sheet document. You can use the mouse to create notes on the document by clicking in the appropriate spot. A blue note will appear where you wish to insert the note into the document.
Guide markers will appear if the note to be inserted is above or below the staff lines.
Click on a note to select it and then it will appear red. Position the mouse above or below this note to add notes to the chord.
After selecting one or more notes, use the toolbar to change the type of note it is. Multiple notes can be selected when changing a property on a note.
Keyboard input.
W- whole note
H - half notes
Q - quarter note
E - eighth note
Y - sixteenth note
R - rest
S - sharp
F - flat
D - dot
T - tie
Other types of input
On the chords tab , select a guitar chord, and click "Add to sheet"
On the Generated chords panel, select add chord to add a chord to the document.
Sheet editor document
Go to file and select New Sheet Document

MIDI Device : Default is Microsoft General Sound Wavetable
Track Type : G Clef - E G B D F, F Clef - G B D F A
G(2) Clef - G Clef but raised an octave
Group: Piano, Chrome Percussion, Organ, Guitar, Bass, Strings, Ensemble, Brass, Reed, Pipe, Synth Lead, Synth Pad
Tempo : Beats per minute
Time sig : Changes the signature and also automatically and number of notes per measure
Number Tracks : Number of tracks appearing in the sheet music
Scale : Zoom the sheet in or out
Beats selected : number of beats selected when dragging the mouse over the notes
Index : position of the note in the track on the sheet music editor
Note : Name of the note and the octave it is in
Loop to : first selected a note and type the note index of where to loop the music to after hitting the selected note
Loop count: number of times the loop occurs when playing the music
Volume : MIDI volume of the selected group of notes
Pan : slide left to play the note from the left speaker, and slide right to play the note from the right speaker

Select a root note, quality and starting fret. Then you may add the note to the sheet document or to a chord diagram sheet.
